A Delicate Yet Strong Bike Rack

Blending Modern Function and Historical Aesthetics

This bike rack is the second of its kind. The original piece was made for the Providence Athenaeum to match the scrolling ironwork of their building. This smaller version was made for a private home in historic Providence.

Bringing Function to Life

The bike rack itself is very simple, with vertical posts to chain bicycles, but the entire piece is brought to life by the addition of scrollwork that adds life and line to the piece.

Upon installation, acorn nuts were used along with anchoring cement to blend the bolts into the overall historical feel of the piece.
